Overview

Role: Area Sales Manager

Location: East of England

Pay rate/Salary: Base Salary 45k to £50k + Performance Related Bonus

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday

Type: Permanent - Office/Field based

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

My client is a leading lighting manufacturer that is looking for an Area Sales Manager to operate in the East of England.

Responsibilities
  • Territory sales role selling products via distributors in your region (Push/Pull role).
  • Sales out activity by way of pro-active support to new and existing distributors via Joint sales calls, trade counter & networking events, product training and demonstrations.
  • Proactively build client relationships and maintain a strong pipeline.
  • Present and gain agreement from the customer that ensures the customer sees our approach as added value ensuring it supports both customer and our commercial requirements.
  • Work proactively with your portfolio, with a planned schedule of visits, using reports and information to keep the customer up to date, ensuring that you get the most from your visits and calls, maintaining CRM records at all times.
  • Working simultaneously with your team and internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience
  • Essential
  • A proven sales professional operating at the minimum of high value account level.
  • Focused on being able to identify opportunities with both existing and new accounts and be able to strategically develop those opportunities within the set parameters of Scolmore's Commercial trading philosophy
  • Knowledge of the marketplaces or experience of similar markets
  • Highly developed selling skills with excellent communication both F2F and written, with interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of energy, commitment and tenacity with a strong understanding of the sales process and large accounts processes and buying behaviours
  • Computer literate with the ability to use Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on own, planning diary and working autonomously within your defined role.
  • A full and preferably clean driving licence is required for this role
