ARB-Registered Architect – Planning Specialist

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated ARB-registered Architect to join a busy and fast-paced architectural team. This role is ideal for someone with strong planning experience who is ready to take ownership of the planning process across a range of residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering consistently high-quality work, even while managing multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications

*

Liaise with clients and planning authorities confidently and professionally

*

Provide guidance to internal drafting teams, ensuring design intent is met

*

Work collaboratively across the early stages of the design process

*

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning policy and RIBA Stages 0–4

Requirements:

ARB-registered Architect

Proven experience with planning applications and approvals

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Strong time management and organisational abilities

Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously

Familiarity with RIBA Stages 0–3 (essential); working knowledge of Stages 3–4
