We are looking for an apprentice Team Secretary to work within our Older People's Mental Health Team based at St Anne's Centre, St Leonards on Sea. We will support the successful candidate to complete the apprenticeship within the required timeframe to ensure they are able to meet the full requirements of the job description.

The job will entail

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing phone calls
  • Diary management and sending out appointment letters
  • Creating clinical letters from tapes or written notes
  • Minute taking
  • Supporting Team PA and wider team with all aspects of admin tasks
  • Completing apprenticeship training within the required timeframe
Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual with a "can do" attitude to join our team to provide administrative support within our Older People's Mental Health service. As we are passionate about developing the skills of our administration team, we are supporting the post holder to complete a Business Administration apprenticeship to enhance their skills, knowledge and behaviours and on the job learning and development.

This clinical team consists ofconsultant psychiatrists,community nurses, Occupational Therapists, clinical psychologists,Support time recovery workers and peer support workers.

The successful post-holder will need to be able to demonstrate exemplary communications skills, tact and diplomacy, along with the ability and desire to work as part of a team in a clinical mental health setting and also on their own to a high standard.Full training on our clinical information system and any other IT systems will be provided to the successful candidate. As an apprentice you will be expected to meet the requirements of this job description by the end of the apprenticeship. This will be achieved by gaining relevant skills, knowledge and behaviours throughout the structured learning that are set by the training provider and line manager.
