Job Description

To achieve the necessary level of training and gain the ability to carry out all the works involved with the Joinery Trade. During the Apprenticeship, to assist the Joinery workforce to provide the service supplied by the Unit.

  • Routine maintenance to the council’s housing stock and council owned properties and schools
  • All joinery work associated with new works
  • General knowledge of timber, ironmongery, fixings, joinery components etc
  • Measuring, cutting, sizing and preparation of timber and components
  • Site installation and replacement door and windows
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and obtain a broad knowledge of general construction
  • Routine and planned maintenance to the council’s housing stock and council owned properties

Please note you will be required to pay for the cost of this application if your salary is over £38,000 per annum, which will be deducted from your first pay.
