Overview

At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.

An opportunity has arisen to join our IT Applications Liquidlogic team supporting our social care & education applications. We provide a professional, proactive and responsive IT service to end users of our suite of Liquidlogic Applications. We are looking for an experienced IT Application Lead to oversee the development, continuous improvement and support of our Liquidlogic applications primarily our EYES and NEET systems.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance and security of application systems.
  • Develop and enforce best practices and standards for application development and management.
  • Provide technical guidance, tailored training and mentorship to team members.
  • Manage escalations to external suppliers, monitor responses and follow issues through to resolution.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Good understanding of Social Care and Education and experience supporting and developing the LiquidLogic product.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
  • Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, using initiative and a passion for process improvement.
  • Familiarity with strong change management processes and the ability to lead on system upgrades and new developments.
Working Arrangements

Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible by car or public transport. A train station is a 5-minute walk away. We operate a flexible working policy with the option to work at other sites or at home 4 days per week, with our office day each Monday for team working.
