Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Luton is seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage maintenance inputs and ensure compliance with aviation regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of maintenance planning experience, particularly with Bombardier or other business aircraft, strong communication skills, and knowledge of EASA and FAA regulations. The role promotes safety and requires teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance planner.

  • Sound understanding of safety management systems.

Overview

Bombardier's Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier's European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare time critical maintenance inputs from start to finish
  • Communicate with operators, suppliers and third parties when necessary
  • Evaluate Work Scopes, reported aircraft defects and discrepancies
  • Prepare the work documents for the CS and the mechanics
  • Prepare Work Reports for customers
  • Work with CPM for Maintenance work (W/O) project management
  • Promote Safety for self and others
Qualifications
  • You have knowledge of applicable EASA and FAA regulations as a must; additional regulations such as those applicable for Isle of Man/San Marino/etc are preferred
  • You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
  • You have knowledge of Manuals (i.e. MPD, AMM, IPC, etc.) and understanding of aircraft systems
  • You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL
  • You have effective communication in both written and verbal form on individual task and/or aircraft status
  • You have system knowledge (computer skills)
  • You have at least 2 years of experience as a maintenance planner
  • You have experience with Bombardier aircrafts; if not, other Business Aircraft experience is an asset
  • You have good communication skills in English
  • You have team player abilities
  • You have flexibility and are a motivated decision maker
  • Previous Line maintenance experience within Tech Records/Planning experience preferred
  • Sound understanding of safety management systems surrounding aircraft operating processes and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)
  • SAP knowledge
