Salary: 32000–44000 (£19,000–26,500 pro rata)

Overview

Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Animal Care lecturer on behalf of a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the land‑based department, delivering high‑quality education and training to learners preparing for careers in the animal care industry. The role is 0.6–3 days per week.

About the Role

As a member of the Animal Care team, you will plan and deliver engaging, practical and theoretical lessons across a range of animal care qualifications from Entry Level to Level 3. You will work closely with learners to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence in caring for a wide variety of animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess on animal care programmes in both classroom and practical settings.
  • Support the development and delivery of an engaging and up‑to‑date curriculum.
  • Track and support student progress, including preparation for assessments.
What We're Looking For
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • A relevant Level 3 or higher qualification in Animal Care or Animal Management.
  • Industry experience working with a range of animal species.
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
