Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Power BI Developer and creating Power Apps.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL querying and proficient in both DAX and M languages.
  • Experience in Utility sector.

New opportunity for a Analytics Developer (Power BI) to join our team based in Exeter or Redhill. This is a great hybrid opportunity for up to 50000 depending on skills and experience plus benefits.

The role

This is a great opportunity for a Analytics Developer (Power BI) to transform data into relevant business information via data models and interactive dashboards and reports to facilitate decision making. You will be an evangelist for predictive analytics and use innovative ways to draw insights from data and show the customer the art of the possible with thought-provoking visualisations.

What youll be doing
  • Design develop and deploy analytical products in Power BI Service and Report Server using various data sources.
  • Develop Power BI Premium models with dimensional modelling techniques.
  • Develop strong relationships with the business and key stakeholders to ensure analytics support provided reflects business needs.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and implement them through reports that support decision-making.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance data quality and reliability of data.
  • Develop Business Intelligence and analytical products prototypes for functional and enterprise use including but not limited to testing deployment and maintenance.
  • Develop consistent documentation for data products.
  • Implement data quality improvements across all departments to increase confidence that data can be used to inform decision making.
  • Be able to query using SQL in different databases including MSSQL Server.
  • Provide Power BI training and develop training materials for end users.
  • Deliver services and data products as part of the Power Platform using the suite of Microsofts PowerApps.
What were looking for
  • Previous experience as Power BI Developer and creating Power Apps within business analysis.
  • Experience in creating training material providing training and championing Power BI.
  • Hands on experience with SQL querying and proficient in both DAX and M languages.
  • Experience of using APIs to get data.
  • Experience of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Experience of implementing advanced calculations on data sets.
  • Experience of implementing advanced calculations on data sets.
  • Experience in Utility sector.
  • Be engaging and passionate about data and analytics.
  • Degree Level Qualification in Computer science IT or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Expert knowledge of Azure Data tech stack specifically hands on experience of delivering solutions in Power BI.
  • Expert knowledge of database design relational and dimensional modelling star schema and snowflake scheme.
  • Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server TSQL Power Query MDX and DAX.
  • Expert knowledge of Power Platform.
