A public health service in Tasmania is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to work in their Outpatient Rehabilitation team. The role involves supporting various healthcare professionals in delivering therapy programs and scheduling appointments. Applicants must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Outpatient rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary allied health outpatient service for clients returning home to the community following an inpatient admission. Outpatient rehabilitation is based at the Launceston General Hospital and provides goal-directed, time limited therapy for clients with physical, emotional and/or cognitive difficulties and deficits arising from their recent medical event. The service aims to deliver excellent care and improve functional outcomes for clients.

This important role will see you working within the Outpatient Rehabilitation team at the Launceston General Hospital. As an Allied Health Assistant in this team, you will assist multiple Allied Health professions (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work) to support their clients to reach their goals by delivering and supporting therapy programs. In addition to supporting individual and group programs you will assist with coordinating and scheduling appointments for the service.

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing from 2 February 2026.

$67,193 to $72,176 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
