Job summary

A technology company based in the UK is seeking a Hardware Encoder Developer to advance their video processing solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in video codec standards and C/C++ programming, and be capable of working both independently and within a team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects optimizing encoding algorithms and developing hardware functionalities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in video codec standards H.264/H.265/H.266/VP8/VP9/AV1/AVS2/AVS3.
• Experience in encoder algorithm optimization such as bitrate control.
• Familiar with subjective and objective video quality evaluation algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop hardware encoders, model development.
• Optimize algorithms for hardware encoders.
• Define and implement new features for hardware encoders.
• Collaborate with hardware IP team for cross-validation.

Skills

Proficiency in video codec standards H.264/H.265/H.266/VP8/VP9/AV1/AVS2/AVS3

Experience in encoder algorithm optimization

Familiarity with video quality assessment algorithms

Proficient in using ffmpeg/x264/x265/LibAOM/SVT-AV1

Strong C/C++ programming skills

Knowledge of firmware and driver development

Ability to work independently

Good documentation skills

Team collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• 负责硬件编码器的研发，CModel开发；
• 负责硬件编码器的算法优化；
• 定义和实现硬件编码器新功能；
• 与硬件IP团队合作，进行交叉验证；

Qualifications:
