Job summary

Job description
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Are you ready to take ownership of the continuing airworthiness of a fleet of civilian aircraft? Influence operational safety, compliance, and technical standards. Develop your career while ensuring aviation excellence.

Salary: £50k per annum

Location: Bournemouth

Working: On-site (5 days per week)

Clearance: SC eligible

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in continuing airworthiness management (civil or military aircraft).
  • Expert knowledge of EASA, UK CAA, UK MAA, and FAA regulations.
  • EASA / CAA Part 66 B1 / B2 Licence, Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SC-level security clearance.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the fleet remains compliant with all applicable aviation regulations and international standards.
  • Manage aircraft maintenance programmes, defect rectification, modifications, and technical assessments.
  • Implement Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Technical Orders.
  • Maintain accurate regulatory records and support safety management systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver airworthiness tasks efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications
  • Proven civil or military continuing airworthiness management background.
  • Knowledge of BCAR A8-21, A8-23 & A8-25 (advantageous).
  • Understanding of safety management systems and ISO standards.
  • Change management experience (advantageous).
  • Highly organised, resilient, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with excellent business acumen.
