Job summary

A leading engineering services provider is seeking Aircraft Engineering Mechanical Supervisors with Merlin experience to work at RNAS Culdrose, Helston. Candidates should have substantial experience in airworthiness environments and hold a Certificate of Competency at the supervisory level. The role involves supporting military aircraft repair and requires knowledge of Merlin systems along with compliance with health and safety standards. A competitive salary and full-time position (38 hours per week) are offered.

Qualifications

  • A few years working in an airworthiness environment, relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft.
  • Ability to hold Certificate of Competency for Supervisory level.
  • Previous experience and good working knowledge of Merlin Aircraft Systems and Servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Support Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Culdrose across AESAS and IMOS Contracts.
  • Engage in repair and maintenance of military aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

MPI have a requirement for Aircraft Engineering Mechanical Supervisors with Merlin experience

The roles will be based at RNAS Culdrose, Helston TR12 7RH

Competitive salary to be discussed on application.

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts

Our client is proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and the AESAS (Aircraft Engineering Support and Aviation Support) at RNAS Culdrose, delivering activities ranging from the repair and maintenance of military aircraft to off-aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy`s two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.

Our Aircraft Engineers will support Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Culdrose across both AESAS and IMOS Contracts, supporting operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications
  • A few years working in an airworthiness environment, relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft
  • Hold/have ability to hold Certificate of Competency for Supervisory level
  • Previous experience and a good working knowledge of the following: Merlin Aircraft Engineering and Aircraft Systems; Merlin Aircraft Servicing and Support Equipment; Lean Operating Procedures; Naval Air Publications and Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP); Health and Safety; the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations; and Tool Control and Quality Practices
  • An understanding of Engineering and Asset Management Systems
  • Completed or be able to a Maintenance Human Factors Course
  • Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK
