Overview

Care Assistants required for Nottingham based care home, specialising in care of residents with dementia and other age-related illnesses. This role is all about helping residents to live happy, enriched lives, providing a friendly face and aiding them in their day-to-day routines. As you get to know the residents you support, you will be able to recognize and help them achieve their personal goals. This is an ongoing opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with day-to-day routines and activities, supporting their wellbeing and independence.
  • Engage with residents to promote happiness and enrichment.
  • Carry out domestic tasks as needed and follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Complete condition update reports as part of ongoing care documentation.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience within a similar care environment
  • Checkable work history
  • Up-to-date mandatory training documents: Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control (online training available with an added fee if certificates are not current)
  • In-date enhanced DBS check (facility to arrange a new one if DBS has expired)

Hours and pay

Your typical hours will be Monday to Friday, starting at 16:00 and finishing at 22:00. You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.55 plus up to 28 accrued holiday pay.
