  • Apply digital costing tools and models, ensuring estimates are consistent with current references and ways of working
  • Support cost modelling activities, particularly within composite manufacturing processes
  • Contribute to Design-to-Cost projects from early concept through to Entry Into Service, ensuring cost targets are maintained
  • Analyse work package cost estimates, identify optimisation opportunities, and communicate findings to engineering and programme stakeholders
  • Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering activities to accurately assess cost impacts of design and industrial changes
Lead and support cost engineering discussions with suppliers
  • Participate in workshops and reviews, providing clear recommendations for cost-effective technical solutions
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, consistency, and neutrality of all costing outputs
Experience & Skills Required
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Background in manufacturing and / or engineering, ideally within aerospace or complex industrial environments
  • Knowledge of detail part manufacturing processes, including:
    • Composite structures
    • Metallic parts
    • Machining and fabrication
  • Assembly processes
    • Understanding of non-recurring cost drivers associated with industrialisation and product changes
  • Proven Design-to-Cost experience or mindset
    • Ability to explain detailed technical and costing information while maintaining a broader business perspective
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including data analysis and root-cause investigation
    • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, programme, and supply chain teams
    • Collaborative team player with a proactive, problem-solving approach
    • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous
Why Apply?
