Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Gosport seeks a skilled machinist to perform precision machining of gas turbine engine components. The ideal candidate will have completed an indentured apprenticeship and possess relevant machining experience, ideally in an aerospace context. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are essential. Qualifications

  • Completion of indentured apprenticeship as a machinist or tool maker.
  • Good level of secondary education.
  • Relevant machining experience, preferably from an Aerospace environment.
  • Experienced in various machining techniques including milling and grinding.
  • Familiarity with metric and imperial measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Precision machining of gas turbine engine components.
  • Inspect work and modify fixtures for production use.
  • Assist in tool design and implement into procedures.
  • Conduct work in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machine tools.
