Responsibilities

The role will involve providing consultation, assessment, advice, interventions and strategies to remove barriers to inclusion and promote the achievement of individual pupils and groups of pupils within educational settings. The role will also require you to work closely with other services and parent/carers. The successful applicant will enjoy the benefits of working within a supportive multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of expertise and experience.

Qualifications
  • QTS
  • Up to date knowledge of SEND legislation.
  • Considerable experience of working in schools with children who have SEND.
  • Substantial knowledge of evidence-informed interventions and strategies, approaches and resources appropriate for children with a range of SEND.
  • Skills and expertise in at least one area of SEND e.g., social, emotional and mental health; neurodiversity; cognition and learning; sensory processing; speech, language and communication.
  • Experience of working with professionals from other service areas.
  • Experience of working with and supporting parent/carers.
  • Experience of delivering training or workshops.
  • Your own transport arrangements to enable you to travel distances between schools.
