Advanced Social Work Practitioner - Safeguarding & DoLS Team

Advanced Social Work Practitioner - Safeguarding and DoLS Team within Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in Brent UK, earning £37.29 hourly. This full-time locum opportunity spans over 3 months. As a Safeguarding and DoLS Senior Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of protecting the rights and well-being of vulnerable adults, applying your expertise and innovative approach to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Location: Brent, Greater London, England • Pay: £37.29 per hour • Duration: 3 months • Status: Full-time Locum

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality social work services that respond promptly to the needs of adults and their families, adhering to statutory guidelines and Directorate policies.
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments of adults as required by the Care Act and case manage complex cases including Safeguarding Adults, Deprivation of Liberty, and applications to the Court of Protection.
  • Manage and monitor a workload of cases, prioritising tasks and responsibilities to conduct effective risk assessments and mental capacity assessments, and provide support plans for eligible needs.
  • Screen incoming referrals, identify priorities and risks for cases transferred to the team.
  • Support the team in achieving Key Performance Indicators targets and contribute actively to continuous improvement, including the delivery of supervision and appraisals.
  • Fulfil the roles and responsibilities of a Safeguarding Manager (SAM).
  • Ensure the management of a customer-focused service and effective use of resources.
  • Contribute positively to service delivery, working flexibly to meet council objectives.
  • Utilise advanced knowledge in areas such as court work, demonstrating expertise and practice.
  • Produce high-quality assessments and reports, managing complex work and caseloads.
