Overview

Advanced Practitioner - Children's Localities — £37.00 per hour — West Yorkshire — 37 hours p/w, hybrid

Responsibilities
  • We are looking for an experienced social worker who is able to manage a caseload comprising Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, Child Care Proceedings until permanence.
  • This caseload will have a level of complexity and lead worker responsibilities working alongside other social workers; it will not have supervisory / line manager responsibilities.
  • Social workers should be able to practice restoratively with children and families and promote family-led decisions to manage risk and meet support needs.
  • Applicants must demonstrate excellent relational work with children and families and be able to engage children through direct work and child-centred practice.
  • Organisation skills and ability to meet competing demands are required to ensure practice standards, quality, and performance.
  • The post requires workers to have good analytical assessment skills and high-quality written work.
  • Social workers will need to work as part of a busy but supportive team and share their knowledge and skills to promote a learning culture.
What you need
  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Care Wales/ Social Work England
  • At least 3 years PQE permanent, direct employment within English LA
  • Completed relevant post-qualifying training
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and written skills
