Overview

Role: Advanced Physiotherapist - Oncology - FTC (Maternity Cover)

Location: London – Harley Street Clinic and Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), part of HCA UK

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekend and on-call shifts available as overtime if desired)

Salary: Competitive dependent upon skills and experience

Contract: Maternity Cover

Responsibilities
  • Cover across wards including intensive care unit, cardiothoracics/cardiology, surgical and oncology
  • Assess and treat a wide variety of patients with complex clinical presentations and care needs
  • Work with a high level of independence; may include mentoring and supervising junior staff
  • Student training, in-service teaching, service development/improvement and service promotion
  • Collaborate as part of the multidisciplinary team with patients, families, consultants and external providers to proactively assess, treat and discharge, including early identification of complex care needs and liaising with relevant teams
Qualifications
  • Graduate Diploma or BSc in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with HCPC
  • Relevant experience within an acute inpatient setting (essential) and rehabilitation (desirable)
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: cardiothoracic surgery, intensive care, general surgery, spinal surgery, oncology and haematology
  • At least 2 years of acute hospital experience
  • Previous private healthcare experience is desirable
