Job summary

Description

Job title: Apprentice Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location: Glascoed

Salary: Starting from £18,023 with annual progression through the scheme duration.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Working from engineering drawings, using data and documentation to carry out the manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis and maintenance of process equipment, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This can range between utility and service distribution and equipment to highly automated munition manufacturing equipment.
  • Fault finding, planned maintenance and testing on electrical and mechanical systems for the site.
  • Fault finding on energized systems, i.e. electrical, robots, servo drives, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Planned maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Planned maintenance on ATEX equipment (equipment certified safe to use in an explosive environment).
  • Fault finding and programming on PLCs.
  • Energy saving projects.
