About the Role

Southampton is seeking an experienced and dynamic Adult Social Worker to join our busy Adult Social Care locality team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who can confidently manage caseloads while providing high-quality, person-centered practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Care Act assessments (S9 and S11) to a high standard, including work on complex S42 enquiries, safeguarding investigations and risk management plans. Manage a demanding and varied caseload, balancing competing operational priorities effectively. Contribute to court work and ensure accurate, timely documentation.

Requirements

• A strong, assertive decision-maker able to work at pace in a fast-moving locality team. An excellent communicator who works collaboratively and supports a positive team culture. Highly skilled in risk assessment and risk management, with proven experience in safeguarding adults. Someone who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment and can deliver consistently high-quality practice.
