Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Adult Locum Solicitor for an initial 6-month assignment in the United Kingdom. The role is ideally suited for those with local government experience in ASC work. Daily tasks include managing Court of Protection proceedings and handling DOL matters. The position allows for remote work on a 4 or 5 day basis, with all necessary IT provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in local government ASC work and cases.
  • Experience with section 21A challenges and ordinary residence disputes required.

Responsibilities

Adult Locum Solicitor (or equivalent)

6 month initial assignment

55-65 umbrella per hour

Great client!

Our client is seeking an experienced ASC locum lawyer to join their adult team. The team consists of 1 other lawyer dedicated to ASC work, meaning support is available and the team works well to manage all cases effectively. You will report into the Senior Solicitor and daily tasks will include (but not be limited to):

Responsibilities
  • Court of Protection proceedings
  • DOLs matters
  • LPS and section 117
  • Care Act 2014 responsibilities
  • Mental Health Act 1983
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Working on policy documents
  • Defending section 21A challenges
  • Ordinary residence disputes

This is an ideal role for a lawyer already experienced in local government ASC work and cases, or possibly an adult specialist from a private practice background seeking to break into Public Sector law. The role can be worked on a 4 or 5 day basis and this client allows remote working for the duration of the assignment. All necessary IT will be provided by the end client.
