3 months contract with local authority
We are seeking a qualified lawyer authorized to conduct litigation, preferably with experience in local authority and adult social care. The role focuses on court of protection welfare and s.21a challenges. This position is crucial for providing expert legal guidance and representation in various areas, including ordinary residence, judicial reviews, community care advice, panel deputyships, copdol paper applications, displacement of nearest relative, and coroners' matters. The initial term is three months, with the possibility of renewal. A full-time commitment of five days is preferred, though a four-day compressed schedule may be considered.
Requirements: Admitted to the SRA or FCilex. Proven experience as a practicing lawyer. Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team. Sound knowledge of legal procedures and regulations.
