Overview

A local authority in the East Midlands is seeking an Adult Social Care Lawyer for an initial period of three months.

The role is to start ASAP ideally before Christmas, however, for the right candidate they can wait until early January 2026.

Responsibilities

The local authority requires a lawyer with experience in handling a full and complex caseload including Care Act matters, no recourse to public funds, ordinary residence, mental capacity, age assessments and similar issues. The successful candidate will be able to take on a caseload without the need for supervision.

Qualifications

Applicant must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX with litigation rights and a practising certificate.

Pay & Working Arrangement

Pay rate: £27-50 per hour.

The position is hybrid; office attendance 1 or 2 days per week.
