Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker - Nuneaton - BANK

Location: The Blue Sky SARC, Nuneaton

Salary: Retainer rates - £30.56 per 8‑hour shift from 09:00 Monday to 08:59 Saturday and £40.24 from 09:00 Saturday to 08:59 Monday. Attendance payment is £15.85 per hour for a minimum of three hours per case.

Shift patterns: Out‑of‑hours weekday evenings and weekends, days and nights.

About the Role

Position: Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker

The role is vital in providing victims of sexual assault with dedicated support and care at the SARC. Acting as an advocate, you will empower service users to feel in control and support their forensic care pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • First point of contact for service users.
  • Support the process of service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing patients and assisting in the collection of forensic evidence.
  • Ensure a high standard of DNA anti‑contamination between forensic cases (cleaning).
  • Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
  • Assist with preparation, service user support and act as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
  • Be a key player within the SARC team and the wider company network.

  • Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner role, applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
  • Position may be based from one location; additional travel may be required across SARC sites, so a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
