A local council education provider is seeking a passionate Maths teacher to work part-time in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will inspire adult learners to gain crucial maths qualifications. Responsibilities include delivering lessons, assessing progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Adult Education Wolverhampton currently has a post available in its maths department.
Adult Education Wolverhampton is an adult and community learning provider located in the heart of the city and currently has a maths teaching post available.
Learners are 19 years old and above, many returning to education to improve their life and career prospects by gaining nationally recognised maths qualifications from Functional Skills – Entry to Level 2 to GCSE.
The current maths team are passionate about their subject and constantly striving to deliver learning which embraces and values adult learners’ wealth of experience. The successful candidate will become a valued member of an established team, be capable of motivating, supportingand inspiring adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Reporting to Teaching and Learning Assessment Manager you will be required to prepare, plan and deliver inspirational teaching, learning and formative assessments.
Recruit, assess, monitor learner progress and provide learners with constructive feedback. Support learners with setting realistic goals and prepare them for Functional Skills/GCSE qualifications.
Participate in quality assurance processes and activelyseek to continually upskill and learn from team members.
Positively contribute to the culture of wellbeing fostered by Adult Education Wolverhampton and especially within the maths department.
