About the role

Transfer Practitioner – critical care experience – part time. The role supports Transfer Doctors in the safe transfer of critically ill adults across the East of England Critical Care Network.

The service operates 24/7 to provide emergency treatment, escalation of care, capacity management and repatriations from Emergency Departments and Intensive Care Units.

Key responsibilities
  • Support Transfer Doctors in the transfer of critically ill adults.
  • Transfer critically unwell adults between hospitals for emergency treatment, escalation of care, capacity and repatriations.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transfer of this group of patients.
