Qualifications

• Ideally HNC / HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering Related Qualification.
• Previous experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways and Drainage Authority.
• Competent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel packages.

Responsibilities

• Produce cost-effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions.
• Liaise with Local Authorities for technical information on road adoptions.
• Process road and sewer adoption agreements accurately.
• Manage transfer of open spaces and play areas to Management Companies.
• Coordinate and manage ongoing maintenance issues prior to adoption.
• Deputise for the Senior Adoptions Engineer as needed.

What is the role?

The purpose of the role is to support the Engineering team to provide aanta practical and cost effective adoption engineering service for the regional business. This role involves close liaison with the Local Authority, Highway Authorities, Property Management companies and external consultants.

What you'll do as an Adoptions Engineer

• Producing cost effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions (S104, S106) whilst overcoming specific issues and finding efficient solutions for the region to maintain building
• Liaising closely with the Local Authorities regarding technical information for road adoptions (S38 and S278) and manage this effectively, maintain the companies interest at all times
• Ensure the processing of all road and sewer adoption agreements are in time and accurate to maintain the regions level of compliance and responsibility
• Managing the transfer of open spaces, play areas etc to Management Companies is swift and accurate and in line with company policy to enhance and build partnered relationships
• Ensuring the coordination and management of ongoing maintenance issues and remedial works prior to adoption or handover is dealt with professionally and to the highest standards whilst protecting the business interests
• On occasion to deputise for the Senior Adoptions Engineer to provide support and assistance to the team

What experience do I need?

• Ideally HNC / HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering Related Qualification
• Previous experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways afd Drainage Authority
• Competent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel packages
