Anew and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable Administrator to join St Pauls Medical Centre. This is a pivotal role to assist, support and enable the Practice to be run in an efficient and professional manner. Responsibilities are administrative in nature with non-clinical contact with patients and visitors.
Mainduties of the jobWe are looking to recruit a flexible, friendly, self-motivated individual to provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support. The post holder will also complete general administration tasks including Docman, answering the phone, completing spreadsheets, photocopying and scanning. Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written, to be able to converse with patients, relatives and other staff members in a professional manner via phone and email, taking and recording messages and acting on any requests in a timely manner. The ability to work independently with a flexible approach to work is also essential for the role as administration tasks will also be allocated from the Management Team. Previous experience of this role or working within Primary Care would be preferred.

Provide Administration support to enable the Practice to be run in an efficient and professional manner.
Responsibilities are administrative in nature.
Non-clinical contact with patients and visitors.
Need to be flexible at times of increased demand to the Practice.
Type documents as required.
Use computer systems to book/reschedule/cancel appointments.
Co-ordinate filing of correspondence through the Docman system.
Maintain patient access to records.Support the departments administrative functions.
Be able to work under pressure and with disruptions.
Liaise with suppliers/procurement to ensure efficient delivery of equipment and consumables.
Exercise judgement when dealing with enquiries from patients, relatives, medical staff and the public, and analyse and deal with the problem as appropriate.
Make outgoing calls as required.
Answer telephone and relay messages to appropriate staff.
Take responsibility for your own the work.
Review and reflect on your own practice and performance through regular participation in professional supervision and appraisal.
Support staff with use of IT.
Support with Practice statistical collation and analysis.
Plan and organise own work schedule.
Demonstrate good time management, ensuring that anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines are promptly reported.
Take responsibility for the update of own mandatory training.
