Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised Administrator (Band 4) to join the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) South East team. You will be instrumental in providing comprehensive administrative support to the directorate team across the RRDN South East, contributing to the effective and efficient delivery of funded health and social care research. This is a chance to be part of the new NIHR Research Delivery Network, which is building on the successes of the former NIHR Clinical Research to support vital research across the health and care system in England. The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is the Host Organisation for the South East RDN region, and we are looking for a committed individual who shares our values of Continuously improving, Excelling together, Caring together, and Learning together. The base for this role can be in one of three offices: Guildford, Falmer (Brighton), or Canterbury. Some cross site travel is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to one of the three RRDN South East Hubs.
  • Diary management and organising meetings for the operational or strategic directorate team, creating documents, spreadsheets and presentations as required.
  • Developing and maintaining hub systems, including utilising the NIHR Hub (including Gmail and Google Drive).
  • Finance administration, including collation and maintenance of financial records and managing the RRDN purchase order process in line with Host processes.
  • Administrative support for RRDN South East meetings, including arranging venues, preparing papers and taking and disseminating minutes/actions.
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies, maintaining efficient filing and tracking systems to ensure continuity of service.
