Role Overview
Provide efficient business support services to the Police Strategic (PS) Division, ensuring the delivery of administrative functions that underpin effective operations and maintain high service standards. Work across HR, ICT, and procurement functions as directed by the Divisional Support Hub Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce documents and reports using computer‑based systems.
- Maintain and continuously improve administrative systems, processes and workflows.
- Support HR functions: absence management, vetting administration, appraisal, reward and recognition recording, gift & hospitality register, training administration and organisational chart maintenance.
- Provide ICT support: change requests processing, local information management, Quantum point of contact.
- Assist procurement: I‑Proc requests and support related processes.
- Administer core business service activities: room bookings, meetings and events, printing requests, facility maintenance, and general office administration.
- Respond to telephone enquiries, external and internal correspondence, and general queries.
- Record, supply and retrieve accurate data from computerised systems and produce management information to strict deadlines.
- Work closely with local senior management and Shared Services to ensure consistent processes and appropriate protocols are followed.
- Use effective communication skills in all interactions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous administrative experience within a complex service environment.
- Experience delivering a wide range of business service support activities.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and RSA III (or equivalent) or CLAIT Advanced qualification.
- Proven competence in handling sensitive and confidential data in line with data protection requirements.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, able to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical Requirements
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (or equivalent, e.g., Lotus Notes).
- Basic IT skills for use of computerised systems and data entry.

Working Arrangements
The role is based in the UK at a MoJ office location (nearest Justice Collaboration Centre or Justice Satellite Office). Hybrid working arrangements are available where business need allows and are discussed with the successful candidate.
