Overview

Administration Assistant – Location: Stoke Mandeville, Fremantle Court - HP22 5XL. Pay rate: £12.27. Contracted Hours: 37.5.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • You’ll support the Home Manager with a full range of reception, administrative and basic finance activities to ensure the Home runs smoothly.
  • You’ll often be the first point of contact for enquiries, demonstrating a professional and welcoming manner to all who visit, live or work in our homes.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all visitors follow the infection control rules in force at any given time, and will take the lead on coordinating any testing requirements, organising couriers and related administrative tasks.
  • You will assist with planning and managing events in the home, including celebrating residents’ milestone birthdays, fetes, employee presentations or other activities planned by our Activities Coordinator.
  • You will work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing a safe environment, warmth and kindness to residents and staff.

Fremantle Court in Stoke Mandeville is a multi-award-winning care home with 90 en-suite rooms, a QVC rating of ‘Good’, and facilities including a coffee shop, cinema and on-site activities. There are superb community and local transport links with a bus stop outside the entrance.

ABOUT YOU
  • You will have previous experience in an administrative or reception role and be confident using Microsoft Office.
  • You will have experience handling cash and keeping reports up to date. GCSEs in Maths and English are preferred.
  • You will be comfortable in an elderly care setting, able to relate to residents in a caring and sensitive manner.
  • You will be efficient, organised, able to use your initiative and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
