A public health service in Launceston is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for their Anatomical Pathology department. The successful candidate will assist with audio typing, preparing medical reports, and managing clinical correspondence. Ideal applicants should possess medical transcription skills, have experience in a healthcare setting, and excellent communication abilities. The role offers a salary range of $66,049 to $70,993 per annum, pro rata, along with various employee benefits including professional development and fitness access.
The Team:
Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists.
This role will be based in the Anatomical Pathology department and assist with audio typing using the transcription system, preparing medical reports, undertaking clinical correspondence with various stake holders in a health care environment.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
$66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
