Role Overview

We are looking to recruit an administrator with an initiative-taking outlook, the ability to prioritise a varied workload and the skills to provide comprehensive, effective, and confidential administrative support to the BCP CLDT.

We are an enthusiastic and dedicated team proving care and support for people with a learning disability living in the community. To help us to do this we are looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our friendly Community Learning Disability Team (BCP CLDT) based in Bournemouth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team in which you will receive training in our ways of working and opportunities to develop the efficiency of our administrative systems and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, effective and confidential administrative support to the BCP CLDT.
  • Prioritise a varied workload and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Act as the first point of contact for service users, families and support staff by telephone or in person.
  • Develop and improve administrative systems and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Robust organisational skills and initiative-taking outlook.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and MS Teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, approved by the Trust. Applicants with a DBS update service certificate may present that instead of a new check.
