Administration Officer

Location: HMP Erlestoke, Erlestoke House, Devizes. SN10 5TU
Salary: £28,853.57 per annum
Contract: Permanent – 39 hrs per week, Mon‑Fri

Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays. Benefits include Death in Service at 4× salary, private GP consultations, Employee Assistance Programme (counselling and information services), financial reward mechanisms and retailer discounts.

We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer for HMP Erlestoke, a Category C adult male prison. The role is part of a supportive, inclusive workplace that focuses on safety, continuous learning, and professional growth.

As an Administration Officer you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues – from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, and cleaners to fellow administrators – to provide a safe and secure environment for all.

Key competencies and experience required
  • Experience working with a variety of IT systems, including CAFM
  • Experience in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
