Job Description
Administration Assistant

Location: CanningTown East London

Salary: £20,000 (basic – see below for further details)

Position type: Up to 3 months FTC.

We need a bright graduate who can manage their own workload and work well in a team to assist with a high-profile project. This is an office-based role. We run a COVID safe environment and have been running continuously through the pandemic due to the critical nature of our work. Travel to our premises is therefore required.

Compliance with our COVID safety procedures whilst on site is essential and mandatory.

The successful candidate will possess well developedcommunication skills on all platforms and require minimal supervision. They must have excellent time management and prioritisation skills, as well as attention to detail.

They must be able to adapt to rapidly changing demands, be friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable. There will be the requirement to work additional hours, evenings and weekends, in March and April. Notice of this will be provided. There is also a requirement to work for some of the days over the Easter Bank holiday weekend.

Please note – all extra hours worked will be paid.

  • There will be an end of contract bonus payment of£250subject to satisfactory performance and the successful completion/delivery of the project.

Requirements:

  • Must have office experience.
  • Very good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Must have good analytical and IT skills, Microsoft office proficient (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Be confident in dealing with people, have a ‘can do’ attitude and not be afraid to ask questions.
  • Have a meticulous eye for detail and excellent proof-reading skills.
  • Have effective communication and organisational skills,
  • Be friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, and dynamic.
  • Be able to work on your own as well as in a team.
  • Be able to listen to instructions and take instructions.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Some knowledge of Print & Design would be very beneficial.
  • An interest in or understanding of UK government, electoral processes and current affairs would be an advantage.
