Job summary

A supportive recruitment agency is seeking a Temporary Administration Assistant for a 3-6 month contract in Bury St Edmunds. Responsibilities include processing customer orders, maintaining records, and supporting the customer service team.   • Processing and accurately inputting customer orders using the IFS system.
  • Chasing missing information, pricing, POs and proforma payments.
  • Following up on blocked orders and outstanding payments.
  • Processing new customer account set-ups and maintaining records.
  • Issuing and chasing order confirmations and quotations.
  • Liaising with Logistics to update consignee details.
  • Supporting the team with general administrative tasks.

Job description

Temporary Administration Assistant required on a 3-6 month contract to join a friendly and supportive Customer Service team in Bury St Edmunds. Paying around £12.21 per hour, working 36.5 hours per week Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 with a 12:30 finish on Fridays!

Key Administration duties for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Processing and accurately inputting customer orders using the IFS system
  • Chasing missing information, pricing, POs and proforma payments to progress orders
  • Following up on blocked orders and outstanding payments
  • Processing new customer account set-ups and maintaining customer records
  • Issuing and chasing order confirmations and quotations
  • Liaising with Logistics to update consignee details and delivery dates
  • Supporting the customer service team and carrying out general administrative tasks
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this position:
  • Proven data entry and administration experience
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organised, efficient, and able to manage workload effectively
  • Confident using computer systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt within a fast-paced environment
