Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reception/Admin Clerk to join the Charlton Medical Centre family, as we are extending our administrative team. The role will be 7.5 hours per day 10am‑6.30pm, five days per week.

Experience in a healthcare setting is not essential, but candidates should have good levels of literacy and IT skills. Managing patient queries is a key point of the role, therefore excellent communication skills and time management are essential for the successful applicant to possess.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties will involve working in both the Administration and Reception departments as directed by the Management Team.

The Practice has a population size of 15,300 patients. The practice has 4 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and is supported by a Clinical Pharmacist, First Contact Physio and Cancer Care Co‑ordinator.
