Job summary

A local support organization is looking for Personal Assistants to help a 28-year-old man in Hull with complex needs. Candidates need NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience. They must assist with personal care and social activities and preferably be car drivers. The role offers flexible hours with up to 36 day hours and 24 night hours per week at a pay rate of £14.87 per hour. Applications are made directly to the organization.

Overview

Two or three Personal Assistants are required to provide support for a 28‑year‑old man in the Bransholme area of Hull. He wants staff who are fun to spend time with.

He is a lovely young man with a great sense of humour, who enjoys having banter with staff and playing football, rugby, going to the MKM stadium, donuts, ice cream in Brid, disco, Xbox and thoroughly enjoying life to the full.

He is a pleasure to work with in a lovely friendly home environment.

He has complex needs and is a wheelchair user. As his Personal Assistant you will provide support with eating, personal care, some cleaning and social activities.

Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience in the care sector.
  • All necessary training will be provided.
  • A car driver with a clean driving licence is preferred as you will be required to drive the young man’s adapted vehicle.
  • The successful applicant will be employed subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
  • Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.
Benefits and Conditions
  • Rate of pay: £14.87 per hour.
  • Hours: Up to 36 day hours and 24 night hours available – 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am – mixture of shifts – includes weekend working.
