Actuarial Expert - Model Validation

Salary ranges between £80,000 - £120,000

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in a wide variety of tasks, enjoys interrogating models and has the desire to provide challenge through our business partnering approach. If you are someone with an eye for detail with sound technical knowledge, this may be an opportunity worth considering:

A bit about the job:

In this role, you will deliver high-quality validation services across the Group for models owned by various Business Units. You will be responsible for scoping, executing, reviewing, and reporting on validation activities for Aviva’s groupwide material models, including the Solvency II/UK Internal model. You will collaborate closely with model owners throughout the validation process.

Additionally, you may have the opportunity to develop challenger models and enhance our repository of validation tools.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A solid understanding of risk management models and frameworks, and/or Solvency II/UK rules and capital modelling for Life business.
  • Qualified actuary or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
