Activities Coordinator – The Mountains Care Home

Location: Libanus, Brecon (LD3)
Pay: £12.35 per hour
Hours: 25 per week
Contract: Permanent, Part‑time
Shift Pattern: Flexible – options include 3 × 8‑hour shifts or 5 × 5‑hour shifts
Weekends: Some weekend working on a rota basis

About The Mountains: Located in the peaceful Brecon countryside, The Mountains Care Home is a specialist nursing service for elderly residents with dementia and mental health conditions. With 50 bedrooms, beautiful lounge areas, and a lively, family‑style atmosphere, the home is always buzzing with visitors, laughter, and meaningful activity.

Your Role

As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital part in enriching daily life for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering creative, stimulating activities suited to individual needs
• Engaging residents in group and one‑to‑one sessions
• Encouraging independence, participation, and enjoyment
• Organising seasonal events, music sessions, craft activities, games, reminiscence work, and gentle exercise
• Helping to maintain a warm, social environment throughout the home
• Working closely with the care team to adapt activities for residents living with dementia or mental health conditions
• Recording participation and gathering feedback to improve future sessions
