An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Activities Facilitator to join our highly motivated and dynamic team here at Haven Court. Haven Court is an innovatively designed and purpose-built care home. We specialise in residential and nursing care, dementia care and re-enablement. We aim to provide the highest quality of health and social care services to residents from South Tyneside. We are conveniently located on Harton Lane, South Shields. https://www.havencourt.co.uk/

As an Activity Facilitator, your job role will be to join a team of facilitators and deliver an exciting and entertaining range of activities to our residents. The successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills. You must be organised and be willing to work flexibly as the team organise events that include some evenings and weekends.

Main duties of the job

No previous experience is required however a passion to engage and support older people in activities is essential.

You will be flexible to meet the needs of the service and be able to meet the requirements of the shift pattern which includes a combination of earlies and lates. The roster covers 7 days of the week and includes rotational weekend working and bank holidays.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will work as part of the Activities Team and provide a wide range of services/activities to improve the health and well-being of people who use services in Haven Court.

The post holder will deliver individual activities (one to one), group activities and source outside entertainment and support the programme in practice.
