Overview

Are you looking for a rewarding accounts role with a supportive, close-knit team? This is an office based role with a firm of Chartered Accountants, located in the heart of Kirkby Stephen, seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their friendly team.

Key Role Highlights
  • Flexible Hours: Ideally 30-37.5 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
  • Diverse Responsibilities: Includes payroll processing, VAT returns, bookkeeping, preparing company accounts to review stage and personal tax returns.
  • Client-Focused Environment: Build and maintain trusted relationships with valued clients.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in accounts preparation and personal tax. - desirable. Alternatively, people with a minimum of 2 years' experience in general accounting / Book keeping / Payroll should apply.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero / Quickbooks / Sage / Digita / Iris - desirable.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
Salary and Benefits

Salary region £28,000 - £32,000 FTE + Nest Pension Scheme + other benefits

Flexible working hours, full or part days to suit.
