Team

Our Finance team plays a key role in the success of News UK. We operate across multiple locations as a single unit to deliver a highly productive, efficient finance department.

Your role

You will be part of the Accounts Payable team, responsible for the payment of all invoices for News UK and Wireless. This is a busy role that requires a personable individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and maintains a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Day to day responsibilities

• Manage various mailboxes, ensuring that queries are dealt with promptly
• Validate PO and Non‑PO invoices in OCR, ensuring accuracy at all times
• Raise internal ZL & ZJ journals, document reversals and submit for checking and input
• Process ad‑hoc invoices, Capex fast entry, foreign and monthly memos
• Manage a high volume of supplier telephone calls
• Handle invoice rejections in VIM, liaising with suppliers and business parties
• Check final demands and reminders received from suppliers
• Code supplier invoices for specific business areas
• Maintain key supplier accounts
• Input miscellaneous payment requests
• Process upload accounts such as SPS Amex and Commercial

• Multiskilled to provide cover as and when required
• Experience with SAP VIM & OCR is useful but not essential
