A leading housing firm is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a fixed-term contract in Solihull. The successful candidate will handle subcontractor invoices, ensure tax compliance, and manage relationships with subcontractors. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills along with a practical knowledge of Word and Excel. We have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Payable Clerk to join a friendly team working from our Central regions and based at our office in Solihull on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Working knowledge of construction and different types of materials would be advantageous;
Experience of CIS preferred;
COINS experience would be beneficial;
Excellent organisational and communication skills;
Accurate and confident in written and verbal communication skill;
Previous experience working within a shared service environment;
Ability to work effectively within a complex management matrix structure;
Practical knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and flexibility to learn new IT systems & applications;
Must possess "soft skills": conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills;
Commitment and flexibility, poise, communication and teamwork skills;
Ability to gather extensive amounts of information and synthesize into concise reports and presentations;
Strong financial, IT and analytical skills with an operational focus;
Ability to analyse and interpret financial information;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management.
