Qualifications

The Accounts Payable Assistant will have...

  • Managed end-to-end invoice and payment processing
  • Oversaw supplier onboarding, account monitoring, and multi-currency payment runs
  • Performed daily bank reconciliations and posted entries into SunSystems
  • Integrated Salmon (Treasury System) transactions into SunSystems
  • Recorded FX deals, deposits, and intercompany transfers
  • Supported cross-training and collaboration within the AP team
  • Completed weekly balance sheet reconciliations and VAT checks
  • Generated receivable invoices, issued debtor statements, and chased overdue balances
  • Ensured timely month-end close
  • Assisted wider teams with queries via central mailbox and in person
The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:

  • An AAT qualification or be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong experience using Concur
  • A solid understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Proven experience in an international AP function
  • Confidence managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with multi-currency processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure
