Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a 3-6 month contract that may become permanent in Huntingdon. The ideal candidate will have previous experience, be IT literate, and possess a flexible attitude. Responsibilities include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing payments. Hybrid working may be considered after training.

We are actively seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to work in a 3-6 month contract with the potential to become permanent, based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Working closely with the Management Account, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Resolving discrepancies within internal teams
  • Processing UK and Internation bank payments
  • Posting supplier payments to the ERP System
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Managing company credit cards
  • Reconciling bank, AP and AR for month end accounts
  • Accruing late journals
  • Posting recurring journals
  • Other adhoc duties to support the team
Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Team player with flexible attitude, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to intially commute to the office everyday - hybrid working would be considered after training period
  • IT Literate
Interviews for this role will be taking place the middle of next week, with the successful candidate being asked to start work shortly after.
