Overview

Accounts Assistant

With a global reputation based on the manufacturing and offering of a high–quality product and excellent service within a niche industry, my client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their existing team.

  • Fulltime
Responsibilities
  • Raise and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the sales ledger and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Reconcile sales ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Provide support for month–end reporting relating to revenue and customer accounts.
  • Oversee and develop the company\'s credit control processes.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Liaise with customers regarding payments and account queries.
  • Calculate, interrogate and accurately record stock levels.
  • Ensure stock records are maintained and reconciled against financial records.
  • Prepare and enter journals accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts and VAT control accounts.
  • Support the Company Secretary with the preparation of month–end accounts.
  • Assist with additional accounting tasks as required by the Company Secretary.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency within the accounts function.
Requirements

To be successful for the position of Accounts Assistant you will have at least 2 years\' experience in a similar position and be AAT qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience) in a relevant accounting role.
