Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager based in our Birmingham office, reporting to the Director, Accounting (based in Canada). This role oversees daily accounting team operations with strong analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles. Key responsibilities include managing all accounting teams in EMEA, preparing monthly close, and assisting in the annual budgeting process.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, located in Birmingham City Centre.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting team in EMEA, overseeing day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, and bank reconciliation.
• Ensure month-end procedures are completed accurately and on time.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses.
• Review tax returns and financial statements prepared by external accountants and auditors.
• Act as a power-user of Business Central and support EMEA users with this system.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end working papers and provide audit support for Transoft's companies in EMEA.
• Implement and maintain operating and control procedures aligned to group policies.
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably with international companies.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• ACA designation or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks with excellent organizational and facilitation skills.
• Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and accurate.
