Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining accurate financial records related to rental income and service charge accounts.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and relevant legislation, working with service delivery and compliance teams to include all recoverable services in charges.
  • Delivering a proactive and professional customer‑focused service and meeting finance deadlines, legislative and statutory requirements.
  • Working closely with the wider organization, building strong internal relationships to ensure effective management of financial resources.
Qualifications
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part‑qualified (final year) or qualified by experience with a minimum of 3 years in a similar senior finance role within the charity / housing sector.
  • Relevant experience managing Housing Rent and Service Charges within a similar organisation.
  • Advanced user of various accounting packages.
  • Confident user of MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience implementing internal controls and accounting processes.
Location & Travel

Remote based. The role is home‑based but you will be expected to travel to the Trust’s communities and other relevant locations on occasion.

Role Overview

The Trust is currently undertaking a root and branch review of rent and service charges and this role is pivotal in supporting the development of a revised rent and service charge model for the Charity, providing expertise in this area of our activities.
